Devender is a seasoned entrepreneur and financial expert with over 25 years of cross-continental experience. His entrepreneurial journey began in 1999 with his hospitality venture in India, which he continues to lead today. A specialist in the Indo-German corridor, Devender was a key figure in the founding team of ICICI Bank in Germany, where he spearheaded European corporate and retail operations for over 15 years.
Today, he drives innovation in global talent mobility and education as the founder of German-based ventures Dein Talents and Frog Fluent. These organizations focus on bridging the gap for skilled professionals and students moving from South Asia to Europe. Devender further contributes to bilateral economic policy as a Board Member of the Indo-German Centre for Business Excellence, a think tank by the Frankfurt School of Finance. He is an alumnus of Kellogg School of Management and WHU, and an active member of the Rotary community.

Sanjay J is a product-first leader with a strong foundation in banking, technology, and cross-border payments. With years of experience working at the intersection of IT and financial services, he has built and scaled products tailored to the Indo-German corridor—especially for students, jobseekers, and migrants. Prior to DEIN Talents, Sanjay played a key role in managing retail strategy and cross-border remittance products within one of India’s leading banks. His work focused on simplifying complex financial journeys for Indian talent migrating to Germany. At DEIN Talents, he leads with vision and execution—building an integrated platform that connects opportunity with ambition, and talent with demand. His mission is to make global mobility easier, faster, and more human.
Karsten Fuelster
Karsten is the Managing Director of Polaris Consulting and Invest GmbH (Germany), advising companies on corporate and financial strategy for market entry and expansion in emerging economies, with a focus on Southeast Asia and renewable energy.
He brings nearly two decades of experience in infrastructure and natural resources financing, having held senior leadership roles at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group. During his tenure, Karsten led international investment teams across Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, and served as Country Manager and Head of Business Development for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland from the IFC’s Frankfurt office.
With a background spanning Dresdner Bank and IFC, Karsten is recognised for his commitment to international investments that deliver long-term economic value alongside social and environmental impact. His global experience and network across various industries adds strategic depth to DEIN Talents’ approach to responsible, sustainable growth.
Dr. Sönke Bästlein
Sönke is a senior German executive with extensive experience in governance, strategic oversight and corporate finance. He currently serves as CFO of Vivlion GmbH (biotech in functional genomics), as Chairman of the Advisory Board at Exxeta (IT services) and as Member of the Supervisory Board of SGL Carbon SE (carbon-based high-tech products).
Previously, Sönke was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc. (top-management consulting) and a Partner at Nordic Capital (private equity). He has since worked closely with private equity–backed and growth-stage companies. His long-standing board involvement reflects a strong focus on sustainable value creation and effective corporate oversight.
Sönke holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (Dr. rer. pol.) from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, where he is a lecturer at the faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., specialisation in Process Engineering) from RWTH Aachen.
