The opportunity
This role is intended for experienced metro or train drivers with formal safety-critical operating experience. Direct-entry suitability depends on recognition, current service and the employer's competency assessment.

What you will do
- Prepare and operate assigned rail vehicles safely.
- Complete documentation, braking and safety checks.
- Operate only the services and routes for which you are authorised.
- Respond to faults and operating irregularities according to procedure.
- Report defects, secure vehicles and complete handovers.
What you need
- Recognised formal rail-driving training and relevant experience.
- A current or recently active rail-driving licence or authorisation.
- Technical vocational or upper-secondary education is preferred.
- German at B1-B2 level, depending on the employer.
- Ability to pass medical, psychological and competency checks and work shifts.
- Readiness for refresher, vehicle, route, signalling and language training.
Suitable backgrounds
- Metro train operators.
- Indian Railways locomotive pilots or assistant locomotive pilots.
- Industrial-siding or private-rail drivers with formal operating responsibility.
