The opportunity
This sanitised role title covers structured technical inspection in heavy transport, freight, depot or workshop environments across the DACH region. The final equipment platform is disclosed before formal commitment.

What you will do
- Perform structured technical and safety inspections.
- Check braking, running gear, coupling and load-securing systems as applicable.
- Complete inspection documents accurately.
- Identify and isolate assets that are unsafe for service.
- Perform minor repairs or coupling tasks where trained and authorised.
What you need
- An ITI, diploma or apprenticeship in mechanical, automotive, electrical, vehicle or industrial technology.
- Relevant fleet-inspection, workshop-QC, maintenance-supervision or heavy-safety experience.
- German at B1-B2 level.
- Digital documentation ability and readiness for shift and outdoor work.
- Ability to pass medical, psychological and employer competency checks.
Suitable backgrounds
Employer-specific technical training and certification are mandatory. Truck or bus experience is a useful base but does not replace the final qualification.
- Fleet inspectors or maintenance supervisors responsible for vehicle release.
- Workshop quality-control technicians working with brakes, chassis or suspension.
- Metro or rail rolling-stock, wagon or coach inspectors.
- Mechanical or automotive pre-dispatch inspectors.
